Zamia Media is a communications firm and learning platform specializing in developing effective and meaningful behavior change and community engagement campaigns.

We understand the power of narrative. Our focus is on story-based campaign approaches as our extensive experience in the field has shown us that, through stories and entertainment, we are able to engage audiences in a non-didactic, fun, and meaningful exploration of complex issues.

Zamia Media works with organizations worldwide like yours and provides tools, courses, and consultancies to social, health, and environmental priorities. Our instructors and a network of passionate champions, experts, and innovators come together to ensure that the needs of your organization are met, regardless of the unique challenges you face.

Zamia Media’s NGO Accelerator Initiative is a series of thoughtful and strategic phases that will lead to increased clarity, growth, and impact. The program starts with helping you think through the main myths and false beliefs that prevent civil associations like yours from growing. It then provides time for reflection on your work and a 360° diagnostic of issues such as strategy, program, working teams, HR, Board engagement, learning, measuring, and reporting. We have dedicated a significant amount of time to effective communications, as we feel this is the lifeblood of good work, both within your organization and with your stakeholders. The work culminates with you having developed (or updated) your strategic plan, your communications vision, and your fundraising agenda.

Through this process you will learn how to identify areas where you are strong, and those which can use improvement. However, we know that these issues are complicated and require time for reflection, discussion, and mentoring.

We support the design, implementation and delivery of impactful social and behavior change and community engagement campaigns. Our campaigns are guided by love, are forward looking, and empowering, and we understand that you know your community best.
We have brought together a team of leading behavior change experts in the areas of (1) environment, climate change, and sustainability, (2) social justice, and (3) health. We believe these issues are interconnected and are best resolved in an integrated manner.

We recognize that you learn best when you’re able to talk with others, and with that in mind, we have included dedicated spaces and times for you to discuss with your team, have regular meetings with the Zamia Media instructors, and access an array of specialists who can support you on particular issues, from personal care, to human resources management, to storytelling and public speaking.
